True Believer (My Friend Oscar)
I started writing this pet blog because I wanted to write about my experiences with animals and how much they’ve enriched my life. I was working in all my free time at the Amanda Foundation, helping wherever I was needed. I found my favorite task to be walking the dogs. I really got to spend time bonding with them. The Pin
I stopped in at the Spokane Humane Society while I was in town for a show last month. I was given a thorough tour of the facility by Executive Director Dave Richardson & Dori Peck, The Director of Outreach and Community Relations. Reminding someone to “watch his p’s and q’s” means to pay attention to the details.
Dog Days of Summer
Most people think “dog days” has to do with warmer temperatures, but actually the name comes from the ancient belief that Sirius, also called the Dog Star, was somehow responsible for the hot weather.
Hi All Fellow Animal Lovers!
When a friend introduced me to the Amanda Foundation here in Los Angeles I had no idea this would change my entire life. The more time I spent with these animals the more I loved them and the more I realized how much work needs to be done. I’ve heard people say “oh I could never do that I get so attached” and yes, that’s true. But you are truly helping many of these animals get adopted and so many that have been abused, neglected, ect., blossom so quickly with just a little TLC. It takes a village! …
